With the client’s priceless collection of art, objects and classic furniture shaping much of the interior design of this sub-penthouse necessitated a close working relationship with the collector & apartment owner. Meme’s approach was to assess and organise the client’s collection, tailoring the rooms with custom joinery and clever use of lighting to showcases each artwork to great effect.
The neutral palette is deliberately restrained to ensure that the art, and by default the owner’s personality, take centre stage. The straight lines and darker tones of the furniture and soft furnishings are masculine, functional and comfortable, ensuring that this art-filled apartment is a home rather than a museum.
